The original Escala Mine was established during the Spanish colonial period and has been mined for lead, zinc, gold and silver.

In mid-2007, our subsidiary, Franklin Mining, Bolivia, negotiated an agreement with the National Mining Company of Bolivia (COMIBOL) to resume mining operations within the area of the original concession.

The Escala Map together with Mr. Petty's February 8, 2008 Letter to Shareholders provides additional background on the Escala and its estimated mining potential.

We also hold agreements for a silver mining operation at Cerro Rico de Potosi, Gas-to-Liquid processing plants in Bolivia and Argentina and several other mining and energy projects.
